Reflection in a used record store window. Portland, Oregon, 2016

Originally from New York, and currently based in Baltimore, MD, Malvina has over 20 years of experience as an artist, designer, and textile developer. Her work blends science, technology, fibers, photographic, and architectural elements, and can be interpreted as a research-based practice. Process is just as much of a part of each piece as the end result. Themes include exploring sustainability through grown natural dye plans, the relationship between the body and making, improvisation through meditations on phenomenology, and occasional commentary on politics and social issues.

Yes I’m using a Malvina Reynolds song reference for my site URL, but no, I was not named after her. A happy coincidence.
